The deposit will be refunded to you upon presentation of a written or electronic proof of return in accordance with § 10 para. 1 cl. 4 BattG, which must not be older than two weeks at the time of presentation, or upon return of an old vehicle battery. You can either return the used vehicle battery directly to us free of charge (for address, see imprint) or to a collection point set up by the public waste disposal authority (possibly subject to a charge). If the used vehicle battery is not returned to the distributor collecting the deposit, the authorised collector who takes back the used vehicle battery is obliged, in accordance with § 11 para. 3 BattG, to confirm the return without deposit reimbursement to you as the end user in writing or electronically on request. In this case, please return the return confirmation to us together with the deposit voucher, stating your order number, so that we can refund the deposit amount to you as quickly as possible. Please note: We will refund the deposit after you have sent us the disposal receipt (e.g. by email, fax or letter – see imprint). As used vehicle batteries are hazardous goods, they must not be returned to us by post or parcel service under any circumstances. You will be refunded the amount using the same payment method that you selected when placing your order.
